I'm not recommending this, just explaining it: The reasoning behind running the tire in the opposite direction of rotation when it is used on the opposite end of the bike is tied to the fact that most manufacturers overlap the ends of the tread blanks in opposite directions for front and rear use because of the different forces acting on the tires (rear = mostly driving, front = mostly stopping).

well..step one on getting back in the wind complete..
my new rear tire is installed..
quite a difference in the tread profile.

Glad you are kinda OK, crashing sucks!

This thread is interesting to me as I just put a new set of tires on my project 1100.
Maybe I i'm crazy or just like living on the edge, but this shinko is now on the rear:

I don't cheap out on tires or brakes. I know Metzler isn't the top of the line but it's better then the Kenda.
