GL1000 - tightening rear axle main nut

#1

Post by kenai »

Hi All- tank's in and on to the rear wheel. See pics; as I tighten main axle (all else loose) the right side pad hits the rotor (see pic light on leftside none on right)/ also notice the gap between collar and bearing. Bike had a rear wheel lock on this side that I am removing. Makes me wonder if the spacer inside the wheel was shortened allowing the collar to pull over. Brake caliper is compressed/ thxs kenai
PS anyone have the lenght on the spacer/tube inside the wheel?

Looks like a custom spacer was installed for the wheel lock.
Should be a flange style...

What Wog says is correct. Your spacer is not stock.
