Hi all,
My neighbor and I decided one weekend last year to repair the broken starter button on my CB550. The plastic housing had fallen apart, but in large enough pieces to copy it for 3D printing. I don't own an old GL, but I understand that this is the same part used on the GL. If so, you can get a copy from my neighbor's storefront here: http://shpws.me/NkB8
You'll need to decide if it's the same part you need, but you can see how I did the repair here: http://forums.sohc4.net/index.php/topic,163170.0.html
Only takes about 30 minutes on a CB and has worked perfectly since the rebuild. Just don't wreck the contacts like I did when I cleaned them up, and take care not to lose any small parts.
My apologies if this is not an appropriate thread to start, but I had a few members on the SOHC4 website suggest letting guys know on the GL and CL forums. It's such an easy fix, plus the original good quality parts are kept in service instead of substituting cheap copies.

Re: Starter Button Repair
There is a reason you need to have at least 5 posts to put something in the for sale section. So people don't join just to sell.
I'm locking this till the mods can look it over and discuss it.
