Bigger battery ?

#1

Post by GLDCW »

My battery on my 75' Wing just isn't holding a charge anymore and not knowing the history of the battery that was in it when I purchased this bike from the prior owner, I couldn't tell how old ?

So with that in mind, like to replace with the "biggest and highest amperage battery I can install. Any recommendations ?

Incidentally, the Wolo # 519 horn I installed worked very well. Nice and loud like I like it. Appreciate the help from the Forum members who offered their advice !

+1 on the Big Cranks and Battery Mart. Excellent battery, reasonable price, and free shipping. I have them in all my bikes. Don't waste your money on a cheapo department store battery that will die after 2 years. Plus they can leak and drip on your swingarm.

I like to find a battery with more CCA's than the one above or is that really needed ? I don't mind spending a little more if a higher amperage battery would make a difference ? Bike has stock stock lighting except a Halagen H4 bulb and now Wolo horn wired correctly thru relay.

If the charging and starting systems are operating anywhere near properly that battery should be plenty.
