Low Air Warning Light

As some of you will know, I fitted Hagon shocks to my bike, and removed the air hoses as they weren't needed.
I disconnected the wiring and tie wrapped it out of the way, but I still have the warning light illuminating when I go for a ride.
Can an electrical guru please advise what is the best way to stop it lighting up.

Obviously I can just take out the bulb, but I read somewhere that you can do something to the wire for the same effect. I just need clear instruction so that there is no problem to my already suspect electrical system.

IIRC, the switch makes a ground when the pressure is high enough. Check to see if it's 'hot' when the bike is running. If so, pulling the bulb is the best way to fix it without messing with the wiring too much.

That implies that if the switch connects to ground that the bulb will go out. If this is true, then simply grounding the wire will turn the bulb off. I suspect however, that the switch grounds when pressure is too low - just like the oil pressure switch. In which case, DON'T ground the wire as it will blow a fuse. Either way, removing the bulb is the safest and easiest.

On my '82 I grounded the switch. No problems in 3 years. When the bike first starts, the light comes on briefly then goes off and stays off.

Is the switch your talking about, the part the wire in the photo connects to? If so I removed it as I won't put the original shocks back on. So thinking about grounding the wire and have a spare fuse ready.

I disconnected the switch (like shown in the picture) and added a bullet connector to a wire, connected it to that wire and ran the other end to the bolt that holds the switch in place.
