I have the swing arm unbolted and the rear dive off, when pulling back to remove the swing arm, the drive shaft is not separating from the engine. What am I missing? JIM

There is a snap ring holding the shaft to the engine output shaft. And a snap ring holding a coupler to the rearof the shaft

Easier to remove the ring at the rear of the drive shaft. Unless you want to remove the shaft for some reason.
