Each time I ride my wing, if I must change down a gear to negociate a junction or a roundabout, if I change from 2 to 1, sometimes my engine stops. And I need to return to the neutral to start again the engine...
Can this happened due to a "sick" neutral switch, maybe coated by rust or something else in the gearbox?
I had this happen and changed out the clutch switch..... only to find what I really needed to do was clean up the connectors near the started relay......

My CB750 will start if the ignition switch is on and I push the start button. The other 3 bikes have the kickstand/neutral/clutch safety mechanisms. The other day, with the 750 on its side-stand and me not on it - in a shed with 2 other bikes - I went to start it and realized in time to check for neutral. It was in 1st gear and would've done a lot of damage to itself and one other bike if I hadn't checked. I would keep the neutral safety switch.
