Three 'quick' questions
Hi there, so close to seeing if my efforts have been worthwhile, but got three hopefully quick questions.
Which wire goes to which connection on the fuel sender?
I have a brand new battery that I have to fill with acid first, but it has an 'extra' cell. Any advice on that, no one seems to have seen this layout before!
On the right hand cylinder head, I noticed this threaded hole behind the fuel pump. Can't see anywhere of anything that fits there, but the left side does have a bolt in in the same place!! So long since I stripped it down, plus two moves, things got a bit unorganised!
Hope, (but sure) someone can help.

Re: Three 'quick' questions
1. Green is ground (- neg ) so you are good with the way you are.
2. fill the 6 cells, the 7th cap on the vent space, for those who seal up the battery (bad deal)
3. Put any bolt you want, open from honda, nothing there.
IF I am wrong any anything......free advice is just that

Chuy it looks like good progress on your bike!
Let me suggest a little sheet metal tab bolts down at #3 to secure a part of the wiring harness??

Re: Three 'quick' questions
Fuel gauge wire is correct. Extra plug in battery is for bikes that have a battery level monitor. Not used on the wing. Leave the plug in place. Heads will work on ether side. the extra hole is used when the head is on the other side

So should there be a bolt in that hole or is it ok to leave it?

Depends on how anal retentive you are.. 1 leave it alone and never think of it again. 10 spend hours researching for the correct torque spec and finding a bolt that will fit and look good.chewy999 wrote:So should there be a bolt in that hole or is it ok to leave it?

Re: Three 'quick' questions
Thanks again to everyone for the help. Been pretty anal on a couple of things while I've been working on my bike, but realised that this is a simple fix as it is a redundant hole so just needs a bolt the right size, and not to important to find the right tourque.jdvorchak wrote:Depends on how anal retentive you are.. 1 leave it alone and never think of it again. 10 spend hours researching for the correct torque spec and finding a bolt that will fit and look good.chewy999 wrote:So should there be a bolt in that hole or is it ok to leave it?
