Driveshaft Identification

#1

Post by stuka151 »

I need help identifying a couple of driveshafts that I got in a box of parts with an '80 GL1100 that I picked up. I'm curious about the lower 2 shafts pictured (the '78 GL1000 shaft at the top is pictured for size reference). I'm guessing one of these two is from the a 1200 but not sure which since I have only seen one in a parts fiche. Can you identify one or both?

Top one is GL1000
Second one GL1200
Third (I think) is GL1500

I figured one of them was a 1200. I was just looking though the parts fiches and wondering if the third was from a 1500. This is why boxes of parts are so much fun! Thanks for the input.

Is an 1100 driveshaft the same as a 1000?

No, the engine side yoke of the UJ is about an inch longer on the 1100 and the shaft is about an inch longer too.
