Removal of Swing arm bearings

What is the easiest way to remove swing arm bearings? This is from a 76. I need to remove prior to powdercoating. Gonna replace with the Wingovations kit, so not trying to save the bearing. Seems that once you get one out you can use a hammer and long drift to remove the other side.

As I recall, you could get at one of the bearings from the inside the swing arm through a hole and push/pound it out with whatever will fit. Once that one is out, then a socket of proper size on an extension that gets through the swing arm with a pound or two will have that one out.

I just threw my old ones away the other day...one was mangled up, the other could have been reused. The mangled one was the first one. :)

Punch the bearing nearest the drive shaft opening into the swing arm, retrieve it through the opening. Then you can use a long rod to knock out the other. This one won't go right through into the swing arm.
