replacing a fuel pump diaphragm

Post by NewWinger »

I found where you can get new fuel pump diaphragm material at the following link:
http://www.pfs-ware.com/Parts/FuelPump.htm
$15, enough to do several pumps
material is listed on their site as:
Fuel Pump Diaphragm material
Buna-N-Nitrile, .012 thickness
3 7/8" x 8 1/2", sufficient to do several diaphragms

Site is "Ollies parts counter"

I am not affiliated with them just did a search for fuel pump diaphragm material.
Lots of vintage car owners have the same problem.
Hope this helps.

My last post is WRONG! Hopefully an admin can remove my last post.
Here's why:
The material I researched will not survive modern fuel. Old fuel pumps stripped of their diaphram won't either.

I did find a proper replacement which is sheet stock VITON and it will survive modern ethanol fuel exposure.
There are many suppliers of such stock I found.

I am sorry for my error.
