I've been very lucky with this bike.... She's got 17,400 on the clock and shows every indication of that being an accurate number. Hasn't been on the road at all since the late 90s, and before that she was owned by, shall we say, a "mature" owner who apparently never took her past about 3000 RPM judging from the amount of carbon I cleaned off the valves and piston tops :-? . The biggest issues are from neglect -- 3 gallons of toxic waste in the gas tank, carbs with ruined float valves and O-rings, seized brake calipers, and lots of garage dings and scratches in the paint.
Still much to do.......

I cannot claim credit for the avatar -- I think Sunnbobb did that :) The car club I'm in "gives" nicknames which shall never be changed by the recipient, so I'm guessing things are the same here and will happily live with it until something better comes along :orange
