Re: Strange noise when releasing clutch
just some plate chatter? I had an old Ford truck with a clutch that rattled a bit when letting it out from a stop.
Did you say you rebuilt the clutch? Did you leave the buffer plate in?

The bike is essentially just another bike... The pilot is CRAZY.

Buffer you mean plate B in the middle yeah I did.
The only thing I did not do to gospel was torque the final nut. I followed Octanes how to to the letter and even pulled it out again afterwards because I forgot to double check that the grooves were running the right direction. I tightened the final nut up tight with a screw driver and hammer. Not perfect but just being honest.
I'm still thinking bottom adjustment wrong.

Re: Strange noise when releasing clutch
I figured that out a few decades ago. Get a second bike and a sidecar and you can ride all year. You'll just have to spend a lot of "hobby time" in the summer getting the winter machine ready for the next winter...

Re: Strange noise when releasing clutch
My 77 had a dry throwout bearing that rattled when I pulled in the clutch , and went away after I let the clutch out .
It is a simple 6003 bearing and can be replaced with the engine in the frame .

Re: Strange noise when releasing clutch
I had a trike for a couple of winters. Trikes are OK when there isn't deep snow but trikes are 3 track vehicles and you can't get all 3 wheels into the tracks made by the cars. Sidecar outfits, on the other hand, are 2 track.
