Wingrider Not sure if you have picked out a pump yet, just wanted to let you know that the one from CBperformance is very quiet, and seems to work fine, with no issues. I have only had a few rides so far.

Good to know on the pump....may put one of those on my 78. As for the 77, I lucked out and found a complete Randakk kit that had yet to be installed.

GL1200 pump and mounting bracket fit straight on (ok, my pump itself is off a Kawa 600 but it's the same pump, made by Mitsubishi)

i wasn't aware that they were not working. just that he has decided not to sell them any longer. probably a business decision.

Randall's "added value" was the mounting bracket. The pump was a regular store-bought Facet. They work fine. When the bike is running you likely won't hear it. When the key is first turned on you may hear it buzz.
Randakk's kit was fine. I just thought the bracket was ugly. Five years later and it's still buzzing.

No issues with Randakk's pump on my bike either. It just keeps working.

one should never respond to a post on a phone. fatfingers and auto correct just dont go together well!! lolol

what i wanted to say was, "what is the problem with the pumps? and should i worry?"

i dont mind the little bit of noise the pump makes starting up, and i have never had a problem with it.

For those that have Randakk's pump....if you installed it correctly, you run a good, quality filter, and it is still working for you, I wouldn't worry about it.

I still do not wish to go into details of my email with him, but being he is a business owner, he had his reasons for no longer selling them.
