I have no experience with polishing aluminum, so my question is once polished how do you prevent tarnish (or, how do you keep them shiney, especially forks?)

The biggest thing is keep it clean. when it gets dirty, wash it off and dry. I like Nevr Dull cotton wadding to clean off stubborn bugs and such off of fork legs and timing belt covers.

Got some of my stuff polished by Richard and it looks identical to polished silver. I didn't think you could get aluminum that shiny!

We ran all the local suppliers out of wheels. Had to start ordering them online. The ones that other stores sell are not so good. Really hard to find the 16 ply still pre treated wheels. Wish I could figure out who sells them wholesale, everyone is a middle man, and the guys who sell them are getting them from a factory somewhere and putting their own names on them. At $17 a wheel, I could sure use a 5 dollar a wheel break. What a pain!
