Wow! Looking for a build thread on this bike
This is the first bike I saw on a search back in July that threw me into the whole, naked Gold Wing addiction. It is still my favorite and I have spent literally 24 hours looking for a build thread.
Any one know where to find this build thread?

Re: Wow! Looking for a build thread on this bike
Wow, that's a cool bike. I've never seen that one either. The builder probably is or was a member, just never posted any build or pics of the finished product.
I can spot all the upgrades looking at the photo, it's set up pretty much like mine. What in particular do you want to know about it?

Re: Wow! Looking for a build thread on this bike
Here's a short list of the obvious stuff that jumps out at me. Of course there could be some engine mods, ignition etc, stuff you can't obviously see but here goes:
Triumph Triple Seat
Stock Rear Fender - rear most cut off then shoved backward and mounted to shorten the tail length
no front fender
rubber fork boots / gaiters
Aftermarket headlight mounting ears
painted headlight bucket
drag bars
brown rubber grips
no turn signals
Great Paint Job - looks snazzy
Motad style mufflers
mini tail light
removed fins from sides of radiator
no center stand
painted rear shock springs
cool tread on the tires
looks like it may have been lowered in the front by dropping the forks in the triple tree about an inch or so
I can see the stock master cylinder and kill switch but the mirror looks like a clamp on style

I really appreciate the input guys. The seat,
Exhaust and the tires are what I wanted to
Know the most.
What is the easiest way to look up a members
build thread or the bikes in theirs stable?
At Ole 496 - would you post up a shot of your bike?

Re: Wow! Looking for a build thread on this bike
Just to clarify its a 05-07 (roughly the years, as triumph uses serial numbers not production years to identify which parts go on which bike)triumph speed triple seat. I mention it as a I have seen it identified as an earlier triumph seat in a different build...

I read your build tread on Thursday and couldn't find where you identified the seat. Thanks for posting up. You have an Amazing build going, BOTM!BusaRider wrote:Just to clarify its a 05-07 (roughly the years, as triumph uses serial numbers not production years to identify which parts go on which bike)triumph speed triple seat. Re: Wow! Looking for a build thread on this bike
Thanks! But I didn't use a speed triple seat. When I was looking for seats, I came across a build identifying that seat as an early triumph s3 seat. I have an early s3 and the seat isn't an early one. I wanted to save anyone the trouble that was searching like I was....

Re: Wow! Looking for a build thread on this bike
Ramset - I'll drop in a pic of my bike. I didn't do a build thread yet but will be soon. I've got some finishing touches and painting to do on my wing but it's coming around.
Here is where I started from when I joined NGW:
Here is where I was before the cold weather set in. I've since put the headlight bucket on and radiator. I need to tidy up some wiring, mount the rear fender, make exhaust brackets for the mufflers and mount tail light.

Wow! Never realized how much the gunfighter looks like the vrod seat....or how much the vrod seat looks like the gunfighter...which ever applies..

Re: Wow! Looking for a build thread on this bike
Yes, it is a Corbin Gunfighter. Best money I ever spent next to buying the wing in the first place. You can have all sorts of different stuff stitched into the seat. I have flames stitched on the back and also a flame pattern on the top of the seating area. Personally I think the Triumph Triple seat looks perfect on a bobber goldwing. But, I already have this one so I'm happily stuck with it for now.

Re: Wow! Looking for a build thread on this bike
Very nice seat. I like the options Corbin provides. The triumph seat does not come down over the rails as nicely as the gunfighter.
