Rebuild marzoochi shocks?

#1

Post by Irishman1 »

Hey there, merry x-mas everybody. Just returned from a very cold ride today to see my left rear shock leaking oil. It is a marzoochi red strada air shock. Anyone have knowledge on parts to rebuild these?

Thanks in advance for any thoughts!

I have a pair of Ohlins Racing Shocks with air assistance, which were on the rear of the rig bike. They seem to be a tad hard to compress so needing rebuild, what should I do with them?

Will the trash guys take them away for me do you reckon? ;)

This is actually all true, I suppose I need to get them stripped but they are a weird design, it seems I'll need to remove a circlip from the shaft end of the body before they will come apart, as simply compressing them will not allow the spring to be removed.

By the the way, could you quiz Gary if he remembers when he replaced the belts?

Ignore Fish. He wants them for free. I'll make you a better offer -- Fish's firstborn male child. (In the spirit of the season, of course!)
