Agree, so here's my thinking on that. The parts they DO provide in a rebuild kit are those that are subject to wear, deterioration etc. If a parts not in the kit, then it's likely that it may not (normally) need to be replaced. In what condition is yours? Can it be cleaned and reused? Just a thought.
+1 on Placerville's advice. this seal isn't susceptible to movement type wear, so I'd give it a good once over, clean it up and go from there, unless you 'gotta have' all new parts. My 2 cents...

It is rubber though. At this point we mostly will just have to reuse them when we can. I'd bet not many shops would have one on the shelf still. I didn't look at the CMS site. How much is it?

I used K&L kits from Georgefix when I rebuilt my calipers, no issues, great service and price. I also re used to rubber seal on the rear caliper and it seals just fine.

Yeah, I was too lazy to check on the conversion. The $8.00 isn't bad. Not that far off from what Honda got for them. But I don't know how much shipping is.

I ordered a couple and then added several other things like shims and inspection covers. shi[[ing worked out to about a 50% mark-up. But now I have a couple of those seals. used a calculator, all added up to just inder $100

Looks like this place may have them. It let me go through to shipping, which was 10 bucks, but better than the 27 from cms. I didn't actually buy because I'm not even close to the point where I need to rebuild mine.

This sellers data-base in probably incorrect. Note that every part on the above list seems 'available' as there's a price listed for everything and none of them are marked, "Call for price." That's a dead give-a-way that they don't subscribe to Honda's 'On-line' service and they're just using a static information source. If you place an order with them, they'll do a query with the Honda warehouse, find that the part's not available and respond with a 'we can't order it' email.

that was my thought as well. Many of the on-lines used to do it that way and I bet they got a lot of negative kick-back and so now have a current fisch. Eventually an awful lot of things will be obsoleted on these old bikes which is sad

They want $29 for a pair, shipping is the killer, $17.
