1976 WINGWHEEL SWAP

#1

Post by choppadude »

Will the later style Comstar wheels fit on an 1976 wing in place of the spoked wheels.
If not, does anyone know a source to get a set of new spokes for the older wheels without spending a fortune?
Thanks

Are all the spacers and such the same between the spoke wheels and the Comstars?

The only mod i had to do was shim the front brake caliper mounts. The distance between the brake rotors is slightly different.

Oh, and the speedometer pickup on the wheel is on the left instead of right, so that needs replaced as well.

Buchanan wheels will send you a set of stainless Stock spokes for like $63 if I remember correctly. You can spoke a 16 in rear up using CB750 spokes according to Buchanan.
