The 1st Anniversary of Winnie's Resurrection
6 July 2007 -- My first glimpse of it on eBay.
7 July 2007 -- The first day, on the back porch, just after getting it unloaded.
9 July 2007 -- The junk is off and we discover that it's a Girl! (All my bikes have been girls ... I ain't gonna straddle no boy.)
4 October 2007, our first real ride. 25 miles with a stop in the park.
7 July 2008 -- Winnie today.
Total cash investment = $1300.

This is worth celebrating with an adult beverage!

I had to work this evening 6 to 2am. So, I made a chocolate mayonnaise cake, strapped it on the back seat and rode in. Gotta have cake on your birthday, don't cha?
Excuse the crappy phone pic, you get the idea. It's getting a bit weird, eh?
She didn't eat her piece so I took care of it for her.
I'm having my beverage when I get home. I think ... bourbon, neat ... that should hit the spot.

I found a brewery with a 9% beer here in Portland so my celebration was complete.

Mayonnaise is made from eggs and oil.
In the cake it replaces those and adds a bit of its own magic.
It's moist and yummy.
In baking you can change out the parts ... unlike in rebuilding carbs, for instance.

Roady,
Excellent effort on your part. It is always a pleasure to see someone rescue and provide a great home for the Early Goldwings. Well Done!!!
