Got a fender and left headlight ear (COVER, L, FR, FORK) from Alwing17. The mount for the turnsignal on my original cover was shot so I had not seriously considered using them.

Image

The new ear opened up other what ifs'. Found that 1/4" pipe threads went right in. Didn't have what I needed, so off to Home Depot. Came up with this at ~$3 per side ($6.25 total tax included.) 1/4" pipe nipple and 1/4" to 1/2" adapter.

Resulting in this.....

Thanks Al. I'm getting there.

Bike is coming out good there Ron. Must be nice to be warm down in FLA , as for my 76 winter has stalled the project. (and of course new ride) LOL

I thought winter was your excuse for not making progress in the summer? It's not even 70 right now, so we're freezing down here.

I'm slowly progressing between Seven and the daughter's Shadow. Got the left side cover for her bike in route, and just got my $3 right side cover for Seven. Getting too many colors, so paint is in the future (NOT pink for me, but can't talk her out of it.)

70 , you must need a jacket

If it was 70 here i`d get alot done. Was going to work on the bike this past weekend but my nephew came up from Naples to visit for christmas & decided to hang out with him instead (only get to see him 1-2 times a year. You know he is a painter ;) If i had the funds to ship all the body work from the 83 both ways i could get a real nice job at a good price. But you looking at least $250.00 just in shipping & then i`ll have to buy the paint & stuff. Just remeber it takes a real man to ride a pink bike . (but Freddie Mercury is dead)

Not a lot happening. Life and lack of funds get in the way. Did manage to get the carbs off. Gonna try to use an extra Shadow reserve tank for a gravity fed fuel supply to find where it's leaking.

Image

Did get all the T's crossed and I's dotted to get a Florida title and tag from the Illinois title that it had.

Image

One of my interruptions is a friend of my wifes, '02 Silverwing scooter. Insurance estimate of just over $3000 (all cosmetic.) The parts came in this week, so Saturday is scheduled for skin replacements.
