Just acquired 79 Wing in rough but running condition. The odometer reads 47000 km and no road rash on clean casings. If all goes well I have plans on doing it up as a "cruiser" style bare bones tourer. I'm no newbie but always welcome any make specific info on machines I don't have much experience with. I look forward to picking folks brains as project progresses.

First, Welcome from California and to the NGW. This is THE place to be for information and 'how-to's' for your new-to-you '79. We like pictures and projects, so after you get 5 posts, you can show us you progress. Ask questions, and most of all, read Randakk.

Howdy from a fellow Canuck, welcome aboard. Check out, if you have not already done so, some of the links to Randakk's information, as noted above, very good sound advice for first time GoldWing owners. Sounds kinda like your a seasoned biker so you should have no troubles figuring out these vintage GoldWings. Once you get 5 posts, you can upload some pictures, if you wish.

Cheers,
