Those forward controls are case guards as well. I will have to see how that feels in that position. Looks do-able. Nice work.

FFC's do act as case guards. that bar is 1" hardened steel torqued down to 90ftlbs. I'm 6'2" the position at first is awkward at first but then really nice. I kept floorboards on so I could move around on the highway. easier on the lower back too :)

I'm not really sure what off the wall custom building means, but this is my daily driver: '76 gl1000, equiped with 1100 carbs dyna ignition and coils 4-1 exhaust with marshall muffler.
homemade seat in corbin style and a early 80's paintjob :)

right now it's in winter mode with winter tyres and as I must say driving it in the snow is even easier than I was used to do with my transalp they give pretty good traction in the snow
the tyres are from Heidenau a german brand.

I didn't see this before!

This is something like what I had in mind for my own '76 bike. I have 2 sets of plastics so was going to do one set black standard, and the other a classic custom paintjob which might well be a flame type design.

Did you fabricate the 4 into one pipework?

Tell us about those forward controls? How did you build them?
