Yes I am working on putting EFI on my 79 GW.
I will probably start a new thread on this soon, like when I have some pictures etc.
This all started a while back when I purchased a LDwingnut manifold and put it and a pic 30 carb on my bike. It runs okay but has some limitations,, long story.. I wound up with 2 of the manifolds in the process.
I have purchased a throttle body, injectors, injector bungs (top and bottom), Fuel Pump, Fuel Pressure Regulator, O2 sensor (MSD 2330).
Correction, I had the MSD 2330 ordered but I can't seem to get one. Had to cancel it.
So, I have changed the O2 sensor. I now have a Bosch 13942 on order.
I am still working on the Coolant Temp. Sensor and the Intake Air Temp sensor.
I plan on running one throttle body on a modified LDwingnut manifold (highly modified). The one I am working with now is off a 1998 Ford Escort. The injectors are Bosch injectors and rated to flow much more than needed for the GW engine, but you want them over-rated not under-rated.
I plan on welding injector bungs in the Honda manifold elbows to direct fuel close to the intake valve.
So far I have spent about $350.00 on this project and still have to buy the computer.
The Microsquirt computer is $400.00. I also need to get coolant and intake air sensors, they are not over $20.00 or so each.
Sorry this is a long post, but you asked, I still have some fabrication to do and some testing. Hopefully this project will be complete sometime this Spring.
