I'm thinking about gold stripes, hand laid. Even if the paint is named after Roady.

A little research on the micro-fische shows the OEM fuel hose is 5.5mm If I remember right, when I was shopping the local auto parts stores, the smallest they had was the 1/4" I bought. No wonder it is not fitting tightly. So today after work I am off to the Honda Dealer to see if they have it in stock. Then I will replace those 30 year old seals in the petcock.

Yeah, I buy motion pro fuel line in bulk. I keep 3/16" and 1/4" in stock. It is nice thick wall stuff and clear so you can see the fuel. Also the crud if you have any. ;)

Tonight I resealed the petcock using the seals that came with my Ranndak's carb kit, removed the Fram fuel filter I had and installed Ranndak's filter. Kept the 1/4" hose but rechecked all hose clamps and left the gas cap loose and took her out for another jaunt. By the time I got back I had to turn the idle speed up a little to get back to 950, but she seemed to run well, once it warmed up there is no more backfireing in the air cleaner.
I really need to compare it to another GL, as I have no idea what "normal" is... all I know is this one idles on it's own and goes like stink when you twist your wrist :)

Just want to make sure it's "right", hate to eventually burn a valve from running it lean or something silly like that just from ignorance...
All 4 header pipes get hot so it's hitting on all 4. I will be doing a base line compression test this weekend if it is not riding weather, then recheck the valve clearance, and the max idle speed mixture screw adjustment once I get some more miles on her and am sure everything is settled in.

Don't forget to let it set over night before adjusting the valves. Not just a few hours, it needs to be over night.
