Dyna S - recommended coils
I wanted to pass along some information I got from talking with Dynatek. For those using the Dyna S system for GL1000, the recommended coils are the DS10-1 (5.0 ohms).

Everything I know about the subject is here:78wing wrote:There doesn't seem to be a simple answer to this one - Dyna tech support recommend the 5ohm coils but it seems like several forum members have run the 3ohm coils without any problems.
Can anyone comment?

I agree with Frenchy...3 ohm coils are recommended.
I have asked both Accel and Dyna to review their conflicting recommendations regarding whether one should retain, omit or change the ballast when using aftermarket coils with Dyna S.
Part of the discrepanancy may be that Dyna is making some sort of fuzzy distinction between their 3 ohm and 5 ohm coils.
But, the fact is that most suppliers stock the 3 ohm coils.
