Return trip!

#1

Post by Old Fogey »

For many and varied reasons, Cyborg and I have decided not to pursue the business partnership that we had thought to do.

Don't for one minute read that wrong. Doug and I are still on the best of terms; just that our life directions and intentions seemed to diverge rather than converge.

That said, I would still like to move over there having fallen in love with the country.
So, if anyone needs a mechanic / taxi driver /general dogsbody etc or has any REAL ideas at all, I'm all ears!

As for the return trip; tentatively, as of today, I hope to be back at Doug's place in Tappahannock around the beginning of July to do the VINTAGE DAY'S meet in Ohio.

There is the unfinished business with the Dragon to attend to as well, so that will be taken care of at the same time.

I have the intention of being there for the full month to check out any and every opportunity to become resident, so any help would be very much appreciated.
Anyone seriously interested can have my CV (all lies from beginning to end  ).

They always need a decent taxi driver in Richmond. I'll tell you, I had some real doozies there.

I've seen a lot of cheap wings that need attention in any area of the country. I even know a guy, who knows a guy who has an 1800 square foot shop that's dying to have a business in it.

Count me in for Mid-Ohio. I love that event and the museum is a must see.

Now there is a realistic goal for me! I got all winter to finish the ride, Then spring to work out her bugs, then the Plant I work at is usully shut down for the first two weeks in July, and it's only 182 miles! (I even go right past Robin's place to snag him along the way) MAP

Quick... somebody check the weather forecast!

There's a bit of UK lingo I've never been able to decipher. Could someone less dense than I enlighten me? What's a CV?

On my Spitfire it meant "Constant Velocity" in reference to the Zenith Stromberg carburetor... oh how I hated that beast.

YEAH! I was hoping you and Gord would do like we did to Randakk's. Nice little 1000 mile run for Oldewing and only another 1000 on top of the run from Canada for RAT, nothing really.
