Techno Tuning Velocity stacks for Weber 40 IDFs

I thought I would share these pics of some new velocity stacks I just received. What is really nice about them is that they have a true 40mm bore as opposed to the 45mm bore on most of the "universal" stacks being produced for these carbs. This simply gives the air a smooth path to travel into the carb. I must warn you - they are pricey but... they are actually designed to funnel the air into the intake which what you really want in this application. This is a 1981 GL1100 btw. Over 100,000 miles and running as smooth as silk. Randakk's manifold conversion.

Purty nice.
Whatever I suggest here should be given ample time for a moderator to delicately correct. I apologize in advance.

Yep. "Full radius" stacks are the bomb. I'm not displeased with my universal ones. I did have to change the taper on the carb tops to get rid of the step caused by the 44mm stack diameter.
I seem to recall that you can get really short full radius stacks that will fit inside an air filter housing. Another option there.
So how's your beast REALLY run...I mean, they're all smooth, but do it get up and boogie?
