Just picked up another motorcycle. Hey! 1977 GL1000 Goldwing with 1/4" of dust on her. All there and still rolled. This will be transformed into a nice example of a first generation Wing. I will keep you guys posted and undoubtedly will need some parts and help along the way. (Ugly duckling into a Swan.)

Are you going to keep it dressed? That's a nice setup but the color is atrocious. ;)

A naked '83 and a dressed '77 is kind of a cool combo to have.

Don't forget my 1978 Wing and my 97 GL1500. I have Wings coming out of my ears right now. Finding the several hundred dollar barn finds are getting more difficult all the time what with Craigslist and ebay. I was lucky this time. I think I need a rear fender, blinkers and a headlight so far.

Very nice! How many miles are on the bike and did the PO know when it last ran? Did it come with the original side covers? I can't believe how much that looks like my '77 did when I first got it. Same white fairing, same Candy Antares red paint. After you "undress" her, you won't belive how nice she looks. I imagine you'll need a new headlight and trim ring, front and rear turn signals, grab rail, and some wiring repairs. Keep us posted of your progress and put up pictures as you go along.

Roady, thanks. You make a guy feel right at home. Yep, headlight, front turn signals, grab rail, etc. I got the fairing off today. And I found a nice seat upstairs that will be sweet. Here we go.

I'd like to see that beauty after a quick wash. And to hear the history of that
One, bet it could tell some stories.
