That completes the short and sweet of where I've been with the bike, now we come to where I'm going with it. I stripped the bike down from a running and coughing, fuel spilling mess to the bare chassis in about two hours:

Today I got my panels back from the painter. I told him to surprise me because I had so many ideas and I couldn't settle on just one. I told him that I was thinking a green color would be my first choice and gave him the "green" light to go ahead and do whatever he wants with the paint. This is what he came up with:

I'm pretty decent at painting stuff as I used to restore old vintage Wheel Horse garden tractors and old woodworking machines. But, I can't paint like this guy can.

I can also do some powdercoating in my garage from time to time so I will be doing some of that along the way.

What do you guys think so far? It's nice to have the canvas to look at to help decide where to go from here as I build it back up from the ground up.

Paint looks great, and the twin Webers will be fun! Have to agree though, they are made in Spain plain as day. Perhaps that is what you meant to say?

Ha ha, yeah you're right, that's what I meant to say. Allow me to re-introduce them as proudly made in Spain Weber Carbs. lolol

I won't go too far into the difference in Weber carbs out there but there are many knock-offs that are Asian made being sold as Genuine Webers. They really are not depending on how you see it. Weber is an Italian company and somewhere along the line they moved their plant to Spain. The real Webers are made in Spain and have the logo stamped into the side. Some other Webers are made elsewhere but due to legal jargon, the distributors can label them as genuine Webers because they have naming rights. They may very well be able to use that name, but they are not exactly a true Weber apparently. I'm sure they all work just fine but I was told to buy the ones made in Spain with the stamped logo. I'm not a big carburetor guy so that is about the extent of what I know about them.
