It was down the list quite a ways, so you probably would have had to look for it.

The Jenvey TB's are nice...have to figure out what I can put on the throttle shaft to make them work. The linkage they offer on them didn't work to be opposite each other.

Looking through my parts, I also forgot that I picked up the gauge I will be using...An Acewell 4554AB. This should tell me everything I want to know...it even has a shift light! I have only seen these run in KM, but found it can be changed to mph.

I actually ordered the wrong one...wanted a 9K redline, but perhaps the bigger swing will be nice to see how far over it goes with the hit of NOS

Now I need to figure out how I want to mount it to the Busa forks....

Redline is redline. Whether N/A or with nitrous/turbo/blower. You will actually want to shift sooner with the nitrous. The torque you gain will be big.

Run it to or past redline with nitrous much and you'll be looking to rebuild the engine. Lot's of things to do before you ever hit that button if you want it to live.

I know Robin...that was written mostly in jest, but I can't help but think of Lars with the supercharged bulldog reving faster than the tach could keep up. :-D

I believe I have a Rev limiter on the C5...been so long that I have thought about it to recall correctly.

Robin, if there is an engine rev limiter available for an enhanced performance engine, what sort of potential problems could result with the ignition "stutter" and continued nitrous oxide gas injection with uninterrupted fuel delivery during those non-ignition events?

EDIT- I just saw the warning of probable engine destruction in several posts preceding this one. I imagine that type of NOX injection control would be VERY costly technology!!

Best way to run it is with an RPM switch on the nitrous. Have that set to turn the nitrous off about 200rpm before the rev limiter hits. There aren't many rev limiters I would trust to work with nitrous.

The C5 does have a rev limiter. I'm not sure how it works though. Some use what they call soft touch. But it doesn't make much difference if you don't turn the nitrous off. Very easy to have the engine just go right past it.

And like I said before. With nitrous you don't need to twist it high. On my race bike with nitrous I ran a very soft tune just to run a certain E.T. On that engine it shifted in to 2nd at 9800rpm, 3rd at 9500rpm, 4th and 5th at 9000rpm. This was with a progressive system. That's why the different settings.

I figured I would leave plenty of RPMs available on the tach when I shift it, just so I don't gernade all the good work that went into this engine. Not real sure yet what gear I will hit the Nitrous in...was thinking 3rd or 4th, but until I run it, I won't know which one will be the best.

Perhaps Robin could chime in on that. :)

Al depends on what you want to do. You will want to take some timing out when the nitrous is on. You are plumbing for additional fuel too when nitrous is on right?

Yep! The Megasquirt is going to handle the extra fuel, and the C5 is going to pull timing.

So, not much to show, but have been planning a few things. Now that Sunnbobb posted his M-unit escapades, I can share that I am also going down that route. I am adding the M-lock as well to mine, as well as a new starter solenoid, and a complete re-wire of the bike...trying to do everything right to make everything work like it should.

I am also trying to be sure I am routing the fuel lines correctly...drew up this primative drawing to illustrate my thoughts...

Not sure if I have the fuel pressure regulator in the correct spot.

One thing I need to look at a bit harder is the thought of doing a turbo setup...seems like it might be be pretty easy to do a blow through setup with the Jenvey's. :flamer

Regulator is in a good spot. A better setup would be to split your feed to each bank, then either come back together at the regulator or come back together then into the regulator.

If you're serious about turbo, I've been thinking about parting mine out.

Just starting to think about the turbo...not sure the block will like boost and NOS. :-D
Not to mention, not sure there is enough room to do a blow through system on the bike.

Where do you suppose a good spot be to split the feed? Right after the filter?

I have mine split right before the rails with a Y fitting, then into a dual input/single return regulator. (See #1)

Alternatively you can bring it back into a single line to the regulator (#2)

Your drawing is fine, but in higher performance applications can lead to reduced fuel flow to the down stream injectors. Unlikely to cause a problem at our power levels, but doesnt take much more effort to ensure an even feed to both rails.

Thanks for that idea! I kind of wondered if the one bank would starve for fuel if I did a general loop like my drawing pictured. Learning as I go!

Looking like a gorgouse build! Beyond excited to see where this ends up! How easy was it installing the turn signals into the handlebars?
