To include photos ... just click the "post reply" button and then scroll down a bit. Browse to find the photo on your PC and then click "add the file".

Hi, I`m a newbe to NGW. I have had Goldwings for 30 years, mostly GL1000s. Three years ago I finished a GL1000 adventure style bike, using parts from brakers yards, anything I could make fit. The bike is based on a 1976 K1. :crosso
will post other photos and spec`s soon. The build time was three years (work got in the way),the frame started as stock
as the photos show the top frame section is modified to accommodate the mono shock, the bend in the swingarm took some doing, due to it having to be off set to mirror the profile of the stock arm shape. There are two friends who helped
me with this build, Ian for the paint work, and Geordie who did the fabricating on the frame ( this guy can weld water and he d`not laugh when I took my drawings and ideas to him). To them I thank. The GS gas tank was the only tank that would fit over the wing rad and frame.

Very tidy. Is that a BMW rear drive mated up to the GL1000 motor? It must be a screamer down a dirt road.

Incredible. Everything seems to fit together so perfectly. It almost looks factory. But, best of all, it's yellow.

I am impressed!!!! I was expecting some newcomer to show a GW with a high fender and offroad tires, which has been done a few times--but this yellow bike has a lot of skills applied--you're no first-timer, that is evident! It looks like a well-sorted professional effort--congratulations!
I will be interested to see how the rear end was done--isn't that the stock pumpkin and driveshaft tube? It is reworked, obviously, what a nice job! What does it weigh? What is the seat height?
Nice gastank badge!
