hey all.....picked up an 81 interstate for super cheap up here in the fall and am just going through it all front to back for a buddy of mine........the usual new tires, brakes, carb cleaning, new timing belts, etc.....just thought i'd post a few pics up for fun!!!

had to do some pretty major surgery/welding on the exhaust as there were some pretty nasty holes in it and the collar where it joins the header was all rotten on both pipes, but got it fixed up nicely. Just have to do a few more tiny things and touch up the paint a bit and she'll be done! I'll post up a couple of "done" pictures once i'm finished....

rodger, i was going to, but i sorta kinda forgot to take any decent pics before i ripped it all apart........oops

got the paint all buffed out........had to repaint the sidebag lids as they were awful!!! Also had to repaint just the center storage lids on the shelter.....PO had painted them with a rattle can and did a REALLLLLLY bad job of it!

Just have to finish putting the seat cover on, install a new deck that my buddy wants and she's done! Not bad for about $1400 in total which includes all the parts!
