77 greenwing

#1

Post by JBz »

I posted some pictures in the pit stop but thought Id do a thread. Nothing fancy just doin the best with what I got. A 77 frame, a 79 engine that I had to change case halves due to 2 water getting in the left cylinders, 78 forks that I polished and drilled the rotors, Some seafoam green paint left over from my 54 Chevy suburban, A carved seat from a old king and queen. I havent upholstered it yet. A Peterson taillight that was on the pacifico bags I got from Roque55. 78 rear fender with shoretened turn signal stalks. Some mufflers that came with a basket case and some hammered verde green rattle can paint. . Time will tell. JB

Looks like a good start there! I like that rear light.

I like it. You remind me of the hot rod days ... try this, see if it fits ... does this make it faster ... does this make it look cooler ... what color paint is on the shelf ....

Cool, man.

I too think those taillights look slick. My '77 still has the rear blinkers where the get in the way of even soft saddlebags. Not sure how I am going to solve that, but your solution is great. I like the green.

HI Steve and Thanks for the compliment. Yes those are some SW air shocks. Ill have to play with them once I get it goin. They are kinda neat right now as I can slam the rear down to about 1 inches from the bottom of the fender. Got the exhaust pretty well done today . I built some new connectors on the rear of the headpipes as the original ones were pretty much non existant.JB
