Gl650 Interstate stripping

for those of you that have M.B.S. (multiple bike syndrome) and have the "silver wing" models.
as our sponsors also have supplies for those bikes and they are popular with the "wing" crowd.

Gl650 Interstate stripping

#1

Post by donlaubach »

Hi, new to the Honda guzzi world and I'm getting a 650 interstate. I previously has 2 GL1000s which I loved, then made the mistake of going to a GL1100 Interstate, which I did not like. So I want to be prepared to strip off the fairing if I'm not comfortable riding with it. Can anyone give me a comprehensive list of what I will need to "nakedize" the front end. I know I'll need a headlight bucket, ears and turn signals. What else? I've looked at ears on ebay and they seem to be plentiful but what's the trick of mounting them. Arte they just bolt on? Ant help will be greatly appreciated

Welcome to the 'Wingdom'.

Drop by the Introductions Forum and tell us a bit.

As for your list, it will be similar to the requirements for any fairing to naked switch so you can read up on many of the builds here.

Also check out the Chopper Charles Site which has many more CX members than we do.
