$25 '81 CX500 now what

for those of you that have M.B.S. (multiple bike syndrome) and have the "silver wing" models.
as our sponsors also have supplies for those bikes and they are popular with the "wing" crowd.

$25 '81 CX500 now what

I picked up this CX mid to late summer in pieces. I got it together but no spark I found the pulse generator damaged and have yet to do something with it. Anakin said he wanted the bike but I don't think he is going to do anything with it. It will be a very slow project. He cut off the back to go café with it so I will be doing something along those lines.

So when we got it he was excited and began to chop. I think when I get it running he will want it again.

I think it will look cool. I plan on cutting the original bars to make clubman style bars to keep them low.

This is still in the to do phase. I have the motor set in there but not bolted down. I wanted to get it running and finish design then take back apart and build. Mind you I got this in 3 boxes and rolling chassis. so hopefully it will all work when done. I do like puzzles.

If he's remotely interested get it running.
Are there any restrictions on age vs engine displacement where y'all live?

Shouldn't be, at least not inside of the continental US.

my son got his M/C driving permit at age 15 in Tenn. A few restrictions, but nothing to do with the size of the bike

In WA they need licence first then they can get m/c permit. I already told him he will be getting the safety course as well. I will probably go through it with him too. It will really depend on how much he grows physically and mentally as to what he will be riding.
