Glad you like it!
They really are fantastic bikes. Watch out for the CDI unit, they tend to go at inconvenient times. However, there is a great replacement available. cx500forum.com has group buys of them (ignitech) twice a year.

Re: CX 500 project bike
good to know there is a replacment. I had to replace one, but it was still available from mother-honda at the time. A real PITA to replace though

Just as a point of interest. This fellow James Weedmark has a least three other fellows in his scam. They found me by searching the web which turned up my posting on this forum. The four of us are working on "getting" this guy and I would say it's look hopeful. More details to follow. In addition paypal did a great job of standing up and refunding the money. I am certain they will be following through to get restitution.

Re: CX 500 project bike
You can find a lot more info about these bikes at http://cx500forum.com/ (Several of us are members of both so you already have friends there)
If you still want to get your carbs done, go there and look for Larry. He has done the carbs for lots of the guys and, from what I read, does a really good job. If you want he can make polish your carbs so they look as good as they work.
If you aren't afraid of doing them yourself, go to www.randakks.com and get a kit. Randakk's kits for these bikes are as good as his kits for 'Wings and his site has about all the info you need to learn how to do them (the 500 & 650 carbs are very similar to the ones on GoldWings). Carbs aren't hard if you take your time and make sure you don't do something silly like mix up the jets.
