Recognise this? (engine....)
Bought this in the UK a few years ago, repainted the wheels and did a general tidy-up including chroming the rad shell, (made, from what I could work out, from sections of a copper immersion heater water-tank)
It's a JZR, made in the UK, based on a Morgan. Sold it to a French guy.

Rode in a real Mog when I was about 8 years old. It made a lifelong impression on me. Believe it was a 1932 Super Sports with a Matchless V twin. Can still remember that ride and the sound of that Matchless. I'm sure it has a lot to do with my love of motorcycles.

Here I thought it was a Morgan. Thanks for the post.
I already sent you a PM asking about another in the background on one of your bike pictures.

Re: Recognise this? (engine....)
It was a cute little thing, but after we got the Grinnall Scorpion it was totally overshadowed.
The Grinnall is in another class altogether. Bought it in 2003, probably May, after it'd been rolled in a stupid car avoidance accident with an inexperienced driver who swerved and put the left wheel up a steep earth bank, after which the car slowly rolled onto its top.
No injuries, but the body was well damaged.
It had new front mudguards, headlamps, nose, splitter, and I had to re-laminate the tub side, then painted it Renault Iris yellow pearl.
Then during the heatwave of August 2003, we drove it down through Italy to a wedding in Sfax, Tunisia, and on down to the Sahara.
It did 5000km without missing a beat.
Fabulous thing, it was inspired by Mark Grinnall's memory of his father's Morgan Aerosport!
Scorp in the North Sahara, 2003
Fran in a piece of "Space blanket" protection from the sun....
Gabes oasis
Scorpion offroad
Near where the "Moisture Farm" opening sequence of Star Wars was filmed.....
The Scorp has a BMW 'K' bike engine, either 100bhp (the 998cc)of 135bhp from the K1200.
The same machine is now available with the new BMW 'K' a totally different engine which produces 165bhp.
A friend in the uK had one with a K1200 turbocharged to 300bhp...sadly it crashed.

Great pictures! I don't know a thing about those type of three wheeled vehicle but I enjoyed your story.

Re: Recognise this? (engine....)
T Rex has more power than the early Scorps, but lacks the shaft drive.
Mine is the earliest, chassis #0001, but it's amazingly quick and agile. I've raced it in Slalom, and got better times than a couple of F3 single seaters!

That's a beautiful Morgan (even if it is just a replica )!! Many fine examples have cropped up over the years (and a couple homemade examples as well) but that's one of the cleanest!
