Parting Out: 1984 CX650e

for those of you that have M.B.S. (multiple bike syndrome) and have the "silver wing" models.
as our sponsors also have supplies for those bikes and they are popular with the "wing" crowd.

Sorry for bumping such an old topic but has anyone heard anything out of Winston (OP)?

Does anyone know if he's still alive even?

I paid him for CX tank and fork brace months ago and the last I heard out of him he said he was going to ship it.
That's the last thing I heard out of him (July) and the last 2 messages I sent to him are still sitting in my outbox.

Winston, if you're out there, I'm not mad. But I'd like to know you're okay so I can stop worrying about you.

I know he went down on a bike earlier this year but he was posting after that. It has been a while since I have seen him here. Looks like he has not logged in since 15 October. Sure hope he is OK.

Yea I had talked to him since that happened. He had a bit of rash but nothing unmanageable from what I understand.

This is the last message I received from him:

winston wrote:Yes, I can send it along....I do all the ebay and mail order stuff for the bike shop that has this parts bike and we're pretty much caught up now with the backlog of postal strike stuff and dealing with people who didn't much like their stuff being stuck in a postal station somewhere over the past month.

No worries about the money, and I'll toss some extra stuff in the box as I threatened before.

How are thing in your neck of the woods? It's finally stopped raining here and has been 25-30 degrees Celcius the past week, finally!

I've now burned 2 tanks of gas this year on my bike....the weather until the end of June was THAT bad here.

I spent the long weekend at the cottage ( I have a lakefront place an hour out of town I built in my 20's...smartest thing I ever did as a younger man) with my kids, the girlfriend and her kids...they're all university students, so it was fun to drink beer and sit around a fire, etc.
