GL1000 35th anniversary special recognitions

2010 is the 35th anniversary of the 1975 release of the Goldwing and several different events are in work to honor that achievement.

The Quail Motorcycle Gathering mentioned in another thread will be held in Carmel Ca Friday and Saturday 7/8 May. Randakk and Craig Vetter will both be in attendance and Craig will be presenting a special award of recognition for the best Vetter dressed GL in attendance. Next is the 11th Annual Riding into History Rally in St Augustine Fla on 15 May. Again Craig Vetter will be a speaker and will be recognizing the best Vetter dressed Goldwing. And the 3rd event will be at the AMA's Vintage Days 9-11 July at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course, Lexington, Ohio. In addition to NGW having it's East Coast mini Rally there the 35th year of the Wing will be Celebrated with a presentation by Craig Vetter about "The Vetter GL Days" and a subsequent award for the best Vetter dressed GL in attendance. I cant wait til 2013, when the best year Goldwing ever made will be honored.. the 78! LOL

Glad to see all the recognition the Goldwing is getting. Already registered for the Quail Gathering. Looking forward to it.

With all this honors stuff and being recognized as a classic, everyone will now think their early GL1000 is worth a mint. Glad I bought mine already.
