The East Coast Mini Rally will be held at the in Conjunction with AMA Vintage Days 9-11 July 2010 at the Mid Ohio Sports Complex. Details about Vintage Days can be seen here: http://www.amavintagemotorcycledays.com/

This is going to be a low keyed event. No T Shirts no run Patches and no registration fee. There will be a Tent/ booth setup in the Swap Meet area and that will be the common point for NGW. Cyborg, Old Fogey and I will be loading up a truck and trailer of GL related Stuff that will be offered up for sale. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the club. Any others that would like to have parts and such on display are welcome but be aware that ngwclub gets 10% ;)

Oldewing is our local Run Executive and he will be doing a bunch of information gathering for us ( recommended Hotels, Resturants etc etc..) and assisting in providing tables and such for the Swap Meet.

Friday and Saturday Evening we will designate one place to meet up for a meal and we will have a couple of designated gathering times at the Booth so folks can meet up with each other. I have not been to this area of Ohio yet but I am told there is some very good riding roads so we will be working on that as well.

Lots more will come out as we get closer but this will give you an idea of what we are looking at and some firm dates to plan on.

For those coming from the southeast part of the country, Ohio Hwy-800 is a very good route. You can pick it up at Sisterville on the Ohio river where it ties in with WV Hwy-18 and take it to New Philadelphia where you can then take Hwy 39 to Lexington. I won't be able to make it :( because of work commitments but I know that those that do will have a great time.

If you want some good Amish cooking make sure to be hungry when you cruise through Walnut Creek or Berlin on S.R. 39. Would love to meet up with the crew an possible ride or show you around my neck of the woods.

My vacation time just got approved so I'm in on this one.

I'll be leaving the St. Louis area on the 6th or 7th and winding my way that direction. It'll be tough but I want to take 3 or 4 days to get there.

I'm thinking that I might go East a bit extra and meet up with whoever's coming from the Southeast. I do enjoy Dean's routes and those roads look especially tasty. Not to mention the Amish food. Yum.

Hacksaw will be joining me, maybe I'll go over to his place and spend the night. We might even talk Robert Russell into meeting up with us there. And what about Claude, the Kentucky Pond Man?

Help is always a good thing, We will work out some rides and such. Anyone coming before the event starts at Mid Ohio, I have room here and still think a BBQ and anim-cheers1 might be fun. There are great roads north and south of my place. Berlin is a must, food is good, but the Amish Hardware store is cool dancr dancr

If south is a way for a day, we need to US 555 kind of a mini dragon about an hour south of me. I am about 45 min from Mid Ohio, south.

Swing by here and join the parade on your way, Rodger. It's about 1/2 way.

There's a place to park the bike, BBQ on the grill, cold one in the fridge, your own room. Then we could head out and pick up the rest of the gang.

I plan on starting my trip on the or 7th.

Steve, "Lord willin and the creek don't rise", I'll be there.crossy.gif Where are you heading from your place? We have a friend getting married in Hawaii in May and we'd like to see old friends so we'll go there if the finances allow, but I planned on Mid-Ohio first so it gets prioity IMHO! If we don't get to Hawaii I may be a bit battered when you see me!
I'll keep you updated.
Claude
