Friends goldwing

#1

Post by 5speed »

someone here asked for a pic of a friends wing. I mentioned he has over 2000 led lights on it and has won the "light" competition in Lake George NY.
he also has well over 150000 miles on the bike.
You can see one modification he's done..he put a gm alternator on it to help charge the second battery he has in one of the saddle bags to run the light show.

Looks to be an '80-'82 1100. While a light show isn't my cup-o-tea, it looks well done, not just a bunch of lights stuck all over the place.

It's an 81..I think. lol
When you see him going in the day time it looks like any other goldwing..not gaudy..
I remember him calling a company in florida from work one day years ago when LED bulbs were custom made and buying 2 1157 bulbs for the low price of $75 Canadian..

All of that, and a halogen headlight :D

He probably wouldn't need the GM alternator if he also swapped out the head/tail/signal lights to LEDs.
