Cool. Fun ride. Snow in June in Sweden. Maybe this winter you could build a snow plow attachment.
If there is one thing I have learned throughout this process it is this: Check your respirator for spiders before you put it on.

My wife wants to ride in a sidecar instead of on the bike so I searched on here and found this thread.

I like this very much. Any chance you have photos of the sidecar build?

Hi BikeMaine (Kevin),

According to his personal profile, ankof's last visit to this Forum was June 27, 2016.

Perhaps, sending him a PM might be the best method to get his attention?

Nice job, Ankof. I wish you'd shared more here.
Whatever I suggest here should be given ample time for a moderator to delicately correct. I apologize in advance.

I'm just going to say that this passage is sheer poetry on the order of Whitman or Thoreau. A true compliment of a unique, utilitarian, and most beautiful build. Well done, sir.
ankof wrote:Ive allways found sidecars ugly. ok, some of the vintage ones are beautiful but the average everyday practical ones. the proportions are wrong with leading link front ends and all. they are normaly just plain ugly. but then Ive realised that the average sidecarist normaly builds the bike to suit just him and just to be driven and they dont care about what other people think as long as they can bring their stuff and it handles well. they seem to think beautiful and practical is the same thing. offcourse they get very happy if people like them and the thing is that everybody love sidecars no matter how they look because they are so weird that people seem to think that the guy driving must be like the wierdest nicest person around and they instantly think they must like you, and quite often come over and talk to you. so as my own bike is evolving Ive come to think that sidecars often are beautiful even when they are ugly cause they just reflects the practical sense of the builder.
