After fighting all morning to get the rear wheel to spin freely, and finally doing so, I hear a clunk clunk clunk in the middle of the driveshaft. I am guessing the used 83 swingarm has a bad U-joint. $*$%%_%___% Oh well, a small hill on the way to the summit, sigh. Off with the swingarm, in with the new driveshaft...

The color of those right side pin stripes is perfect to blend with the valve covers and wheels. I just do not think the pattern is quite right but I have no stellar ideas and I cannot hold a straight line anyway.

She sure does sound nice, you are very close to having one sweet ride.

Motorcycle restoration is our hobby and we pay for that. But in the end of wrenching, the bikes are free!

Wow!! Just remembered to listen to your new shot of the bike with the sound. (When it first came up I was on my cell and it wouldn't play.) That is unique sounding to me. Although it appears you put a lot of time and effort studying what's out there, your bikes are pretty much unique and built to your own tastes at the time. Somewhere between the old wing sound and a crotch screamer. Love to see it and hear it in person. A fabulous piece of work.....again. I really appreciate your contributions here. You must keep really busy.
