Goldwing cafe/bratt

Post by JRK5892 »

well... finally got one!!!! This build is completely going to be designed and built for my buddy. His bike got stolen early this spring. Could not have him without a scoot so he and I are going to build him a custom one, something wild, as you can imagine it will have a ton of powder work and some trick work done to it... here is the bike, rode it home, sucker ripps! i was rocking wheelies down the road with it!!!

Need:
-seat to cut up (only really need the seat pan)
-fork brace

just purchased:
- flat tracker bars
- digital speedo/tach/temp guage/ shift light

this will be a fast build... this winter we will tear it down and stretch it when we powder the frame

Looks like you really are going to do a fast build.

What year is the bike? Where are you located?

I wonder what kind of craziness was going on to make that stock exhaust turn blue and purple like that?

That's either a blockage at the outlet or an insanely rich mixture for an extended period of time. I guess it could be bad chrome, too... I've noticed really thin or cheap chrome will discolor like that for no apparent reason.

ooh, that far back on the pipes, I'd say blockage... 'cuz the heat shields on the headers aren't blued. but I'd just be guessing.

good find there. have fun, keep us posted.

My personal preference is flat stuff to offset the shiny stuff. It should not all look like jewelry imo. I love that wine color.
