Hey all! New around these parts ;) got a couple posts under my belt. Still haven't gotten my '78 firing, but I'm working on it.

I needed a little inspiration, so I started with stripping the bike down to the idea I have in mind, and painting the plastics. My previous bikes were all blacked out. That seems to be the norm these days, and I've never been one to follow suit. So I decided to go with a Kamikazi them. I'd love to eventually black out the block though ;) red rims, blacked out block, painted plastics all in a sort of cafe/ bobber. That may sound like a dichotomy, but I can see it in my head and taste it on my lips. Hopefully it all starts coming together, and I can begin posting pics. Any thoughts and ideas are welcome!

Crux buddy there are lotsa' cool NGW here and youtube & such with all kindsa' insperation.
I am allways the boring guy with the boring suggestions.
so here goes...
get it running & registered before tearing it apart
thatway you are not putting a lot of work & $$$ into customising a bike that maybe has a bad engine or not clear title shakehands .

Thanks for the heads up, Fish ;) I'm not tearing it apart or anything drastic. Just alleviating some weight. Lol. Actually a bike buddy of mine showed up today and walked me through quite a bit. After chasing a solenoid down, we got it almost running. So I'm working on getting it road worthy as well as aesthetically pleasing ;). I'll post pics soon. Thanks for the kinds words fellas!
