I am rebuilding my GL1000 78 or 79 cant be certain but consensus is 79, just love the wheels and appears to be a reasonable cost wise change, I certainly like it and would appreciate a write up on what you did to get them to fit. Ian

Your ride is sick! Makes me want to get back home to Texas so I can pick your brain, in your shop. Those wheels are the business!

Maybe I missed it in the other thread, but what are those rocker covers? Not seen any like them before.

How much trouble did you have to fit those wheel, they really compliment the bikes looks. In general nice bike, but with my back I would be in traction within 2 miles with the drops.

Go back to the first post in this thread. Second sentence. He made it sound pretty simple.

As Robin mention, you can catch how I did it in the first post in this thread. The rear is a 17 with a 130/90-17 tire and the front is a 18 with a 110/90-18 tire. Really did not change much of the height then the old wheels.ianstaley wrote:How much trouble did you have to fit those wheel, they really compliment the bikes looks.
