Hello,

Everyone I am new to this lifestyle of build a nice naked goldwing. I just purchased an 82 honda goldwing aspencade edition and am starting my build soon by stripping the bike. With it being the aspencade is there any advice on wiring harness removal and management?

Looking forward to being part of this community.

Welcome from Wisconsin! I don't remember if the '82 has the electronic gauges and air compressor for the suspension or not, but the rest of the wiring is pretty straight forward. All the radio and fairing wiring plugs into the fairing down on the left side (as you're sitting on the bike). Those wires just plug into the standard harness, and can easily be removed. The tail and brake lights are the same, they plug into the harness under the seat. Depending on what you decide to use for replacement lights, there is really very little you need to rewire. For a nice, downloadable, color coded wiring diagram, check out the ShopTalk page, where you'll also find some great links to the most common 'New-2-Me' topics and tips. Enjoy the ride!

Thanks for the information I know that there is the air suspension so compressor yes but it does not have the electronic gauges. I was trying to make sure not to get those because with this as my first Goldwing I did not want to overwhelm myself with tons of fabrication to accommodate for those.
