Checking in from Colorado

#1

Post by ColoRider »

Hey all. I'm Greg, living on the Front Range. I recently picked up a '76 GL that'll need a little TLC before it gets on the road. Looking forward to all the resources available here.

Welcome from the UK, as has been said there doesn't look like you need to do a lot, apart from change the belts!

Thanks all. The bike has a little under 47K miles. History is unknown; it was described at auction as a 'recent restoration'. Looks like someone may gotten part-way through the project and stopped for whatever reason. Anyway since bringing it home the fuel tank's getting a good cleaning and new tires on (Avon Roadmasters). Carbs will need attention and yes, timing belts. New MAC headers went on yesterday and a pair of EMGO Dunstall replica reverse megaphones are on order.
