Hey folks, I am new to NGW. I currently have a 1984 GL1200 that is in very good condition. I recently purchased another bike and really don't need both. I'm trying to come up with a price range for my GL1200. It has 42,000 miles, has never been down, has new tires and overall is in very good shape. I've had several people tell me that I should post it for around $3500 based on its condition. That seems a little high to me but these guys are basing it on the current marked for coverting these bikes into Cafe Racers. Just looking for some advice. I really hate to get rid of it at all but like I said, I really don't need two bikes.

I hope it's another WING? If not sell it somewhere else and turn in your patch!

Well, I wanted another wing but couldn't find one in my price range. If I'm being honest I bought a VTX 1300S. I'm a retired police officer with two in colege and I'm paying for two weddings. I'm lucky to have what I have. I get where you're coming from. I just want to find the right owner for my WING. It's been a good bike and a blast to ride. I would have never considered selling it but I couldn't turn down the VTX1300S for what I paid for it.

The '84 1200 Standard is one of the "Holy Grail" wings (the '76 LTD is the other). $3500 is a good place to start. If you post it on Goldwing forums you may do even better (depending on the condition). I'd say it's worth to much stock to make it into a custom (but that's one mans opinion).

I agree with Greg.... to older goldwing owners an 84 standard is a prize. And I would think worth more stock/oem than but and bobbed.

your bike looks sweet!

Beautiful Bike! I'm looking for one, but prefer one that needs a bunch of TLC. You should have no problem selling her!
